Bio

Dr. Stothoff has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of hydrogeology and environmental remediation. He has developed or contributed to more than a dozen numerical simulators for environmental flow and transport. Dr. Stothoff has conducted research on a range of topics including arid-zone infiltration, nonisothermal flow in unsaturated fractured porous media, overland flow and sediment transport in wetlands, rate-limited corrosion, cold region hydrology, flow and transport processes under microgravity, and soil evolution. He specializes in developing flow and transport models to assess risk under uncertainty and natural variability.
