The National Science Foundation (NSF) Arctic Research Support and Logistics (RSL) Program , part of the National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs (NSF-OPP), supports the field component of research projects funded through science programs at NSF. The RSL program also supports projects that can broadly benefit the arctic research community, such as investments in Geographic Information Systems and data management.
With support from the Arctic Research Support Logistics program, ARCUS has coordinated several planning processes that provide guidance from the research community to the agencies conducting research in the Arctic:
A fall 2013 logistics workshop and resulting report.
The 2003 logistics recommendations report, Arctic Research Support and Logistics: Strategies and Recommendations for System-scale Studies in a Changing Environment
The 1997 logistics report, Logistics Recommendations for an Improved U.S. Arctic Research Capability
The 1998 workshop and report, Opportunities in Arctic Research
