Current Research

Social Transition in the North: Joint Russian-American project studying demographic transition, epidemiological transition, and the health implications of social, cultural, and ecological change over the last 50 years. Field sites in NW Alaska and the Aleutians, and in Chukotka and Kamchatka in the Russian Far East. Social, cultural, and evolutionary theory multi-method, multi-site research methodologies power and resource access gender and generational relations.
