Bio

Ross Goodwin has 40 years of experience providing information services to governments, universities and industry. He has a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan, a Management Development Certificate from the University of Calgary, held the I.S.P. (Information Systems Professional) certification awarded by the Canadian Information Processing Society, and is a Fellow of the Arctic Institute of North America. Ross did ecosystem modelling for the Devon Island International Biological Program Tundra Biome project at the University of Alberta Botany Department and developed the Western Canada Waterfowl Database for the Canadian Wildlife Service. He created, and managed for 36 years, the Arctic Science and Technology Information System (ASTIS) at the Arctic Institute of North America, University of Calgary. Ross is now retired and working for ASTIS as a volunteer.
