RNA CoObs: Towards Equity in Arctic Observing

Organizers invite participation in their meeting, RNA CoObs: Towards Equity in Arctic Observing, taking place during the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting. This side meeting will take place Thursday, 14 December, 9:00-10:00 a.m., in the room Sierra AB on the fifth floor of the Marriott Marquis Hotel (780 Mission St.) in San Francisco, California. AGU registration is not required to attend this meeting.
Meeting Description:
Equitable partnership and funding of Indigenous partners is a critical success factor for effective and sustainable development of Arctic observing and data systems. The Research Networking Activity for Sustained Observations of Arctic Change (RNA CoObs) project is piloting the Arctic Roadmap for Arctic Observing and Data Systems (Arctic ROADS), which provides a structured planning process and tools to achieve observing goals. This meeting will be an informal forum for conversations around equity in Arctic observing, including lessons learned from Arctic ROADS to date. This session will also provide background on the RNA CoObs project, including ways to collaborate, and provide a preview of the Arctic Observing Summit 2024 where the same topic will be addressed in an international context.
