The Sea Ice Prediction Network - Phase 2 (SIPN2) announces an open community meeting to be held during the 2019 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meetings in San Francisco, California.
The Open Sea-Ice Community Meeting will convene on Tuesday, 10 December from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (PST) in the ARCUS Arctic Community Meeting Room: Monterrey I on the third floor of Hotel Nikko San Francisco (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, California).
This meeting is organized to promote knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking among members of sea-ice research community. It will also include a brief overview of the 2019 Arctic sea ice/Sea Ice Outlook season.
A focus question for discussions during this meeting is: What does the research community need to provide more information at the regional scale?
All attendees are invited to participate in a fast-paced round-robin session to share information about related efforts and/or needs for input.
These one-minute updates should include:
- The name of the project or effort,
- A brief summary of the project/effort (in lay-person language),
- A key highlight,
- Any opportunities sought/offered for collaboration with other community members, and
- Contact information for sharing additional information.
A PowerPoint template is available for those who want to share information in a slide format. There will also be time for informal updates.
