The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) invites applications for a biological oceanographer at the Assistant Professor level. This tenure-track position will be located in Durham, New Hampshire.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach biological oceanography and additional advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in her/his area of expertise, establish an externally funded research program, and train graduate students. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in coastal, estuarine, and marine processes that influence biological systems, especially in the context of climate change, ocean acidification, and other anthropogenic influences.
A PhD in oceanography, marine biology, or a relevant field is required. Preferred qualifications include a strong publication record; demonstrated grantsmanship skills; and the ability to develop and teach a variety of courses, including laboratories.
