On behalf of the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Army Cold
Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, NSF invites proposals for
"Operation of the Antarctic Bibliography and the Bibliography on Cold
Regions Science and Technology." The official announcement (NSF
99-94) is on the NSF Web site at --
http://www.nsf.gov/cgi-bin/getpub?nsf9994
A cooperative agreement of up to 5 years will be awarded to a U.S.
organization. Proposals are due on 2 June 1999.
Polar organizations in the United States and other nations will be
interested because NSF encourages proposals that provide for shared
inputting of publications to insure timeliness, completeness, and
efficiency.
The Antarctic Bibliography, established in 1962, covers all the
world's scientific literature regarding the Antarctic and the southern
ocean. The Bibliography on Cold Regions Science and Technology,
established in 1951, focuses on science and technology in the world's
cold regions.
