Masters Student for a thesis on Englacial Hydrology
A position is available for an MS student to study englacial water
movement in glaciers. The position will be located at Portland State
University in Portland, OR and the fieldwork will be conducted on
Storglaciaren, Sweden.
The position starts 16 June 2001 and will continue for 2.25 years.
The candidate must have two years of calculus and physics skills with
good writing and computational skills. Some electronics/small motor
repair background is desirable. Expect to spend long days in the field.

The candidate must be accepted at Portland State University in a
Master's Program (http://www.pdx.edu) in the departments of Geology or
Geography. Programs in Physics or Engineering are possible.
