TYPICAL DUTIES
Teaching courses that complement the current offerings of the department
at the undergraduate and graduate levels, undergraduate advising and
graduate supervision, research, and university and public service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Ph.D. in Anthropology with a specialization in social/cultural
anthropology by the beginning of the contract period, relevant
experience teaching social/cultural anthropology.
Preference will be given to candidates with: circumpolar/northern
expertise or specialization, broad theoretical knowledge of the
discipline and subdiscipline, successful teaching experience,
established record of research (including publication), established
record of collaboration with northern communities, regional and topical
specialization that complement the department's strengths.
