International Geoscience And Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) 2002
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
24-28 June 2002
ABSTRACT DEADLINE IS: 4 January 2002
In June of 2002, the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society and the
Canadian Remote Sensing Society will jointly sponsor IGARSS 2002
(International Geoscience And Remote Sensing Symposium) in Toronto.
This annual IGARSS conference is the premier international science
conference for the remote sensing community.
You are invited to participate in this exciting conference as an author
of a research paper. The theme, "Remote Sensing: Integrating Our View of
the Planet," reflects the power of fusing multiple sources of satellite
and airborne imagery with geographic information and the expertise of
many disciplines. The environment is under great stress around the
world. Remote sensing can provide global, consistent, and unbiased
observations of the health of our planet.
Topics have been selected to offer a broad selection of the most current
specializations within the fields of geoscience and remote sensing. The
126 topics are organized under six headings: Applications of Remote
Sensing; Missions, Programs, Societal Issues and Educational
Initiatives; Geoscience Modeling and Processes; Data Processing and
Algorithms; Electromagnetic Problems; and Instrumentation and
Techniques. These headings cover both civilian and military
applications. The IGARSS symposia are known for the high technical
standard of their presentations, wide-ranging coverage of all remote
sensing areas, and quality publications.
Please visit http://www.igarss02.ca for information about registration,
the exhibitor prospectus, and a downloadable Second Call for Papers.
Abstracts are due on 4 January 2002, through our on-line submission
system.
