SEARCH: Quantifying Arctic Change/The Unaami Data Collection

We wish to announce the availability of a collection of 85
multidisciplinary time series which represent pan-arctic change over the
last 25 years, including: fisheries, biological, terrestrial, oceanic,
sea ice, atmospheric, and climate index data. The name Unaami derives
from the Yup'ik word for "tomorrow" and is used in the Science Plan for
the Study of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH) to describe the yet
unknown complex suite of interrelated change occurring throughout the
Arctic.

The data collection is available through a web site offering interactive
access to graphics, metadata, simple correlation matrix calculations,
and data download at http://www.unaami.noaa.gov, or from the SEARCH web
site. The data was collected from published works and different
individuals. Reference to the SEARCH Unaami Data Collection and to the
original sources is requested in using this data collection. We are
interested in your response and suggestions for additional entries.

This data collection is an activity of the SEARCH Project Office,
http://psc.apl.washington.edu/search/index.html and was supported by the
NSF Arctic Systems Science program. Information technology support was
provided by NOAA ESDIM.
