NEWSWORTHY ITEMS:
Trustee Council action on the injured resources update has been
postponed. This is now scheduled as an action item at the Councilis
meeting on 6 August 2002.
The Trustee Council approved the GEM Program Document at its 9 July 2002
meeting. The final approved version of the document will be available on
the web on July 29. The final draft is currently available at the web

Nominations are currently being solicited for the Trustee Councilis
Public Advisory Committee and three GEM subcommittees (habitat, data,
and lingering oil). Nominations are due 3 September 2002. The nomination

The Trustee Council adopted new project report writing requirements and
a new data policy on 9 July 2002. The Councilis general operating and
financial procedures were also updated at this time. The revised
