It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 12th
International Congress on Circumpolar Health . The congresses have bound
the international circumpolar health community together since the first
congress in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1967. We are proud to be able to
contribute to the tradition.
Since 1991, the triennial Nuna Med congresses have convened health
workers and researchers from Greenland and Denmark. By combining the
ICCH12 and Nuna Med in 2003 we aim to give our foreign guests the
opportunity to meet with as many local colleagues as possible - and vice
versa.
The 12th ICCH will take place September 8-10 (precongress) and 11-14
(congress), 2003 , in Nuuk, the capitol of Greenland. The cultural
centre Katuaq will be the venue for the plenary sessions while
concurrent sessions will take place in selected meeting rooms within
walking distance from Katuaq.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8-10, a series of
pre-congress meetings and workshops will take place. The Congress will
begin with a reception on Wednesday evening, September 10, 2003, and end
on Sunday 14 with a banquet. Cultural events are being planned
throughout the week.
