The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a graduate student
(preferably Ph.D. level) interested in arctic plant ecology and arctic
ecosystems. The successful candidate will assist Dr. Laura Gough at the
University of Texas at Arlington in studies on the influence of climate
warming on trophic interactions among plants, fauna, and microbes in
arctic tundra.

This position will be funded from a collaborative NSF grant with Dr.
John Moore at the University of Northern Colorado. Funding is available
beginning in January 2006. Summers will be spent in residence at Toolik
Field Station, location of the Arctic Long-Term Ecological Research
(LTER) site in northern Alaska, and the academic year will be spent in
Arlington in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

You must be physically able to work at a remote, climatically harsh
field site for weeks at a time to apply for this position.
