The ARCUS 19th Annual Meeting and Arctic Forum 2007, jointly hosted by
ARCUS and the Embassy of Sweden and held both at the Embassy of Sweden
and National Association of Home Builders Conference Center in downtown
Washington, D.C., is being broadcast live via webstream.
The focus of the Arctic Forum this year is: "Water in the Arctic:
International Collaborations and Understanding Environmental Change."
Presentations will include information on:
- What are the changes being witnessed in the water cycle and how will
these changes impact the physical, biological and social environments of
the Arctic?
- How does the science of water and the arctic environment relate to
public policy, and how can information be translated to decision makers?
- How can we forge international collaborations during IPY and beyond to
address these exciting scientific challenges and opportunities?
The meeting is taking place on Wednesday, 23 May from 9:10 a.m. to 5:30
p.m. EDT and on Thursday, 24 May from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT and
will be broadcast live during these times.
All talks will be video-streamed with an online bulletin board so that
those unable to attend in person can participate virtually.
