The Wilderness Research Foundation invites PhDs and PhD candidates
in the earth, physical, and biological sciences interested in conducting
field research on the east coast of James Bay in northern Quebec to
submit a one-page letter of intent.
Funds are being raised for a multidisciplinary, ten-day expedition to
take place in September 2011. Priority will be given to small-scale,
land-based projects. Research may involve developing more accurate
measures of uplift, testing the accuracy of accepted models, studying
life processes in areas of uplift, etc.
Letters of intent should not exceed one page and should provide a brief
description of the proposed project in the clearest possible terms.
Submissions may be sent via emails to: WildResch [at] aol.com.
The Wilderness Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable
organization created to expand the opportunities for scientific field
