The Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) will host a
webinar that will provide an overview of NASA's 2017 Arctic Boreal
Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE). This webinar will be open to the
public.

Charles Miller, Lead of the 2017 ABoVE Airborne Campaign, will present
the overview.

Airborne research during the ABoVE's 2017-2019 campaigns will link
field-based, process-level studies with geospatial data products derived
from satellite remote sensing, spanning the critical intermediate space
and time scales that are essential for a comprehensive understanding of
scaling issues across the ABoVE Study Domain and extrapolation to the
pan-Arctic.

ABoVE airbourne campaigns provide remote sensing data with higher
spatial and temporal resolution than available from satellite sensors as
well as measurements that are not currently available from space. The
ABoVE campaign provides opportunities to validate satellite data for
northern high latitude ecosystems, advance fundamental remote sensing
science, and explore scientific insights from innovative sensor
combinations.
