The Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) announces
availability of an IARPC External Collaborations website to foster
communcation and collaboration between IARPC and the Arctic research
community. To visit the website, please go to:
http://www.arcus.org/iarpc-research-collaborations.
IARPC consists of principals from 16 agencies, department, and offices
across the Federal government. It is charged with enhancing both the
scientific monitoring of and research on local, regional, and global
environmental issues in the Arctic. IARPC coordinates Federal research
and monitoring in the Arctic in collaboration with national and
international partners.
To enable collaborations with the non-Federal research community,
this website provides information about the twelve IARPC collaboration
teams that facilitate communication and collaboration between Federal
agencies, the academic community, industry, non-governmental
organizations, and State, local and tribal groups. The collaboration
teams meet on a regular basis to implement the 2013-2017 Arctic Research
Plan. Most meetings are open to the Arctic research community.
For further information about IARPC, the collaboration teams,
participation in collaboration team meetings, and to download a copy of
the 2013-2017 Arctic Research Plan, please go to:
