The 8th World Wilderness Congress is set to meet 30 September - 6
October 2005, with participants from around the globe convening in
Anchorage, Alaska. Congress offerings include a varied program focusing

opportunities of the scenic landscapes surrounding Anchorage.
"Wilderness, Wildlands and People - A Partnership for the Planet" has
been chosen as the 8WWC theme.
The Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute is hosting the Symposium
on Science and Stewardship to Protect and Sustain Wilderness Values.
